The Las Vegas Raiders continued their preparations for the 2023 NFL season on Friday, as they held their third day of training camp.
One of the biggest storylines of Day 3 was the scheduled day off for Jimmy Garoppolo. The news sent fans in a flurry thinking the worst case scenario. Las Vegas Review Journal’s Vinny Bonsignore assured fans there is nothing wrong with Jimmy, the team is just playing it safe and easing him back into things.
Here are some of the other notable developments after 3 days of training camp:
- Rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell continued to impress. He made some good throws, and he showed he can lead when out there. Hunter Renfrow spoke highly about the rookie “He’s Been Incredibly Accurate since he’s gotten here, He’s someone we believe in and if he goes in there we’ll follow”
- Running back Josh Jacobs is still currently holding out over the contract dispute.
- Linebacker Divine Deablo has been looking good according to Levi Edwards, the team is hopeful he can take the next step in year 3.
- Raiders Second year Cornerback Sam Webb was awarded the 1st interception of camp on day 2 returning it back for a Touchdown.
The Raiders will continue their training camp as they continue to build continuity and chemistry for the 2023 season.
