As Zamir White prepares for year 2 he spoke to the Media Saturday August 5th and looked Noticeably bigger.
When asked about what his off-season workout consisted of, White Humbly responds
“A lot of Hills, A lot of running, working with my horses on the farm. Throwing Hay Bales, Chopping Wood”
Zamir didn’t get much burn in 2022 as the team had All Pro running back Josh Jacobs taking a bulk of the Carries and leading the league in rushing yards and yards from scrimmage.
Zamir is looking to build on a rookie campaign in which he learned from backs like Jacobs, Abdullah, & Bolden to name a few veterans.
When asked “How are you mentally preparing yourself for a season where right now you are the guy but Josh(Jacobs) can come back any time”
Zeus responds
“Anytime…. Honestly bro, just doing my part man. Coming in daily, and just locking in on film and working, just head down grinding. That’s what I’m focused on right now.
White is preparing for a possible Josh Jacobs holdout which could immediately bump Zamir into the RB1 role with the chance of a lifetime in front of him.
With or without Josh Jacobs I feel we will see more Zeus in 2023. It was reported by Levi Edwards Zeus had worked on his weight and fitness this off season. Edwards stating “White looks slimmer & Faster than he did last off season.”
OL Jermaine Elumenor Also had this to say about White Wednesday August 2nd.
As Zamir continues to get high praise from teammates, the dedication to work on his craft and get better is one way to earn more playing time with McDaniels. The 2023 running back situation will be an interesting spot for the Raiders this season. Only time will tell how it all plays out, either way Zeus looks ready for anything.
