With So many question marks about the future of the QB situation the Raiders signed Jimmy G in free agency and it was off to a Shaky start with Jimmy Under going surgery the Nation was at a standstill. Here we are in late July and Jimmy Garoppolo has Cleaed his Physical, Set to Join Raiders for Training Camp.
Garoppolo’s injury had been a major question mark for the Raiders, as they had not yet been able to see Jimmy out on the practice field. However, with Garoppolo now cleared, the Raiders can move forward with him as their starting quarterback.
Garoppolo’s presence in training camp will be important for the Raiders, as he will need to get up to speed with the team’s new offense. With McDaniels in place it gives Jimmy G some comfort knowing he’s played in the system before.
The Raiders are hoping that Garoppolo can lead them to the playoffs in 2023. They have a talented roster that is equipped with a lot more depth than the team had in 2022, and Garoppolo is a good quarterback who can take them to the next level.
The return of Jimmy Garoppolo is a major boost for the Las Vegas Raiders. Garoppolo is a proven quarterback who has led his team to the playoffs on multiple occasions being 6th in most playoff wins(5) among active QB’s. He is a quarterback who can make plays with his arm and his legs, and he is also an accurate passer with the short & medium throws that should bode well with the weapons on offense.
The Raiders are a team on the rise, and Garoppolo’s return is a sign that they are serious about contending in 2023. With Garoppolo under center and the key pieces on offense, and additions on Defense the Raiders have a good chance to make some noise in the AFC West, but the Division still goes through Kansas City.
Major keys to improve this season will be the redzone offense, the team must come away with more Touchdowns this season and Jimmy happens to be a great redzone QB.
Now that Jimmy has been cleared to practice it’s time for Raider Nation to support and hope for the best rather than hoping for failure from the coach and Jimmy G.
